Woman on cruise left behind on isle, dies

An 80-year-old Australian woman has died after she was accidentally left behind on a remote Great Barrier Reef island by the cruise ship she was traveling on.
The woman's body was discovered on Lizard Island, approximately 250km (155 miles) north of Cairns, following a frantic overnight search.
The woman, who was traveling on the Coral Adventurer cruise ship, was on a group hike with fellow passengers on Saturday. She is believed to have separated from the group to rest during an excursion to the island's highest point, Cook’s Look. The ship, operated by Coral Expeditions, departed the island around sunset without her.
