A social media post by former DGP and current Bharatiya Janata Party candidate R. Sreelekha has come under fire during polling for the 2025 Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation election, after she shared a pre-poll survey purporting to show a decisive edge for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

Under electoral regulations, dissemination of poll-survey results on polling day is prohibited. The post, published on her Facebook page the morning polling began, claimed the NDA would secure a comfortable win in the corporation.
