Court assured of thorough probe in cash-for-jobs scam

A formal assurance of a “p roper and full fledged ing uiry” into a cash-for-jobs complaint involving the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Depa rt ment was placed before the Madras High Court on Wednesday, with the Dir ectorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption saying it would seek additional ma terial from the Directorate of Enforcement to strengthen its investigation.
The assu rance was given during pr oceedings before the first Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Ju stice G. Arul Murugan.
