AICC warns state leaders against rift

|October 30, 2025
The All India Congress Committee has directed the state leadership of Congress to quell factional divisions, project unity and sharpen its electoral readiness ahead of the upcoming legislative contest.
The high-command summoned state leaders to New Delhi for extended, closed-door discussions involving AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leader Rahul Gandhi and general secretary K. C. Venugopal.
The party leadership in Kerala has been grappling with persistent internal discord, centred on competing power centres within the state unit and disagreements over organisational appointments. During the deliberations, senior state figures were told to present a sense of purpose to voters and end the standoff that insiders say is affecting its electoral message.
