EPS accused of double standards over SIR

Chief Minister M. K. — Stalin of Tamil Nadu on Monday condemned AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami for what he described as a “double standard” on the issue of the “Special Intensive Revision” of electoral rolls, alleging that Palaniswami is withholding overt criticism of the Election Commission of India out of fear of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Stalin made the remarks while addressing the wedding of the son of A. Mani, a DMK MP from Dharmapuri, where he tied the criticism to Palaniswami’s decision to skip an all-party meeting organised by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on the SIR exercise.
