True Indian won't say this: SC raps Rahul over China remarks

The Supreme Court on Monday pulled up Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks regarding the Indian Army following the 2022 Yangtse border clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh, questioning the credibility of his claims and his intent.
A bench comprising Justices Dipankar Datta and Augustine George Masih expressed disapproval of Gandhi's statements made during the Bharat Jodo Yatra on December 16, 2022. The bench queried how Gandhi knew that China had occupied 2,000 square km of Indian territory and observed, "If you are a true Indian, you would not say this. When there is a conflict across borders... can you say all this?"
At this, senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for Gandhi, replied, "It is also possible that a true Indian will say that our 20 Indian soldiers were beaten up and killed. This is also a matter of concern."
