A survivor of the 6 December Goa nightclub fire has delivered a searing account of the tragedy that killed 25 people, saying the true toll is higher and that families have been left without dignity, support or answers.

Bhawna Joshi, 41, lost her husband, Vinod Chand, and her three elder sisters - Kamla, Anita and Saroj - in the blaze at Romeo Lane in Arpora. "I last saw them holding hands, and that's how I found their bodies," she said, recalling the moment the fire swept through the packed venue within minutes.
