Notably, the Bourse incorporates essential elements like the ‘Customs Clearance House,’ Jewellery Mall, and facilities for International Banking and Safe Vaults. This milestone marks a transformative development for Surat, reinforcing its role in the global diamond trade, with the inauguration conducted on Sunday. The event underscores India’s pivotal position in the international diamond market under PM Modi’s leadership.

Surat Diamond Bourse converges cutting, polishing, and trading activities, housing a vast community of experts in one expansive facility. Boasting 4,500 offices and 130-plus elevators, the bourse’s passageways exceed a total of 22 km.

CENTRALIZATION Of DIAMOND PROCESSING

Surat, the Diamond City, processes 90% of the world’s rough diamonds, aiming to centralize the industry under one roof with the Surat Diamond Bourse. This strategic move facilitates global diamond sales, including to major markets like the US and China.
