The Pearls of Dew is the translation of the Telugu short-story collection, "Manchu Mutyalu" into English by Mr. P. Sri Rama Murthy, who, according to the bio, is a seasoned translator with a much-acclaimed repertoire of translations.

The original Telugu story collection "Manchu Mutyalu" is a highly commended book for the humanitarian themes the stories deal with.

The book is prescribed for M.Phil level study by Kakatiya University.

The stories are varied in their theme and treatment, but all of them seem to be connected by the strong threads of emotion and empathy.
