Shah chastises Congress for allying with NC for J&K polls

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday launched a scathing attack on Congress for allying with the National Conference (NC) ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. He accused the grand old party of jeopardising the nation's unity and security for political gains.
In a series of pointed questions posed on X (formerly Twitter), Shah criticised the Congress for aligning with the Abdullah-led National Conference, a party that has historically advocated for Jammu and Kashmir's special status. "The Congress has once again exposed its ulterior motives by allying with the Abdullah family's National Conference," Shah remarked, directly questioning the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
Among the 10 questions Shah posed to the Congress and its leaders were whether the party supports the NC's promises of reinstating a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir and restoring Articles 370 and 35A-measures that he argued would plunge the region back into "an era of unrest and terrorism".
