A deeply thought-provoking anthology Sita to Abhaya: Have Things Changed? was released during a function organised at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The release took place in the presence of an august panel of guests. Chief Guest was noted author and Vyas Samman awardee Mamta Kalia. Guests of Honour included Amarendra Khatua (multilingual author and former Director General, ICCR), Jaya Varma Sinha (first woman Chairman and CEO of Railway Board) and Surekha Sahu (author and cancer survivor). Several of the fortyone contributing authors along with compilers of the anthology, Ravi Valluri and Lakshmi Valluri graced the occasion with their dignified presence.
Talking about the book, Ravi valluri and Lakshmi valluri shared that the anthology explores the status of important popular mythological figures like Sita, Draupadi and Andal.
