On the auspicious occasion of Ravi-Pushya Nakshatra and Ramnavami, the sacred right-trunk, south-facing Ganpati idol of Shri Nahar Temple, located on Brahmapuri Mount Road, was ceremoniously anointed with Panchamrit on 6th April 2025 at 11 AM.
Temple Yuvacharya Pt. Manav Sharma shared that the Panchamrit Abhishek and Durva Marjan were conducted by Temple Mahant Pt. Jai Sharma, accompanied by the chanting of Shri Ganapati Atharvashirsha and Shri Ganapati Ashtottarshatanaamavali.
Following the rituals, a Panchopchara Puja was performed, and sacred Ganpati Matrika hymns from the Rigveda were recited.
Between 1:30 PM and 2 PM, Lord Ganpati was ceremoniously put to rest after being offered 21 Modaks with 21 Vedic mantras.
Later in the evening, a grand Maha Aarti was conducted with 251 oil lamps.
Devotees visiting the temple for darshan received consecrated Raksha Sutras, believed to bring happiness, prosperity, and remove obstacles from life.
Ravi Pushya Nakshatra is a highly auspicious period in Vedic astrology, occurring when the Pushya Nakshatra aligns with Sunday (Ravivar).
This combination is believed to amplify the positive energies associated with both the day and the nakshatra, making it an ideal time for initiating new ventures, making significant purchases, and performing sacred rituals.
Understanding Pushya Nakshatra
Pushya Nakshatra, often referred to as the "Star of Nourishment," is one of the 27 lunar constellations in Vedic astrology.
It is symbolized by a cow's udder, lotus, or an arrow, all representing nourishment, purity, and direction.
Governed by the planet Saturn (Shani) and influenced by the deity Brihaspati (Jupiter), Pushya Nakshatra embodies qualities of care, nurturing, and spiritual wisdom.
Individuals born under this nakshatra are often characterized by their compassionate nature, strong sense of duty, and inclination towards helping others.
Significance of Sunday (Ravivar) in Vedic Astrology
Sunday is ruled by the Sun (Surya), symbolizing power, authority, and vitality.
The Sun's energy is associated with leadership, confidence, and illumination.

Science and spirituality: The journey to the subtle
It has been said that to see beauty, the soul must become beautiful, and to understand the divine, it must become divine. This is a universal principle valid in both, science and spirituality. To perceive the subtle, the instrument of perception must itself become subtle. In science, this means refining external tools and methods; in spirituality, it means refining the inner instrument — the mind — through purity, focus, and meditation.
