Priyanka's Bihar push, Kerala snub stir political ripples

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is once again in the headlines, this time for two reasons: her sudden entry into brother Rahul Gandhi's election campaign in Bihar and her conspicuous absence from a major Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) programme in Delhi.
The IUML, Congress's oldest ally in Kerala, had organised a grand event at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to inaugurate its new national office, Quaid-e-Millat Kendra. Party leaders had announced the participation of Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, but while the former was absent, Priyanka's no-show drew visible anger from IUML leaders. Congress MP KC Venugopal attended instead, citing Priyanka's ill health.
