PM launches Rs 19,650 cr Navi Mumbai Airport, India’s greenest air hub

Developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), NMIA is operated by Navi Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. (NMIAL) — a joint venture between Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (74%) and CIDCO (26%).

Located in Ulwe, about 37 km from South Mumbai, the airport spans 1,160 hectares (2,866 acres) and is designed to ease congestion at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
PM Modi said the airport would not only boost connectivity but also help farmers in Maharashtra access markets in the Middle East and Europe, spurring regional growth and investment.
“Navi Mumbai International Airport reflects the aspirations of Viksit Bharat. It will connect farmers to global markets and create new opportunities for businesses,” he said, congratulating the people of Maharashtra.
