Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with other top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam CM Hemant Biswa Sarma, of polarising the society by spreading enmity and "communal venom."

Ramesh, Congress General Secretary in-charge for Communications, said that they have no other agenda besides polarisation. The Election campaigning carried out by the BJP leaders in Jharkhand and Maharashtra shows that they are baffled and scared, he remarked.
