Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Shri Kartikeya Sharma on Tuesday raised, through a Special Mention in the House, the need for early restoration of certain important rail services linked to regional connectivity and passenger convenience.

In his remarks, Shri Sharma referred to the Kalka-Barmer Express, stating that the train has historically been a vital rail link connecting Kalka, Chandigarh and the Himachal region with major cities of Rajasthan. For several years, this route has served as a reliable and accessible mode of travel for lakhs of passengers.
