Kharge, Rahul Slam BJP in Odisha Over Constitution, Poll Theft, Cronyism

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi shared the stage at the 'Samvidhan Bachao Samavesh' rally in Bhubaneswar on Friday, delivering a coordinated and forceful attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Election Commission of India (ECI), and industrialist Gautam Adani.

Speaking at the rally, both leaders accused the ruling BJP of attacking India's Constitution, favouring a handful of billionaires, and manipulating democratic institutions for electoral gain.

Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, alleged that the BJP was making attempts to "steal" the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, just as it allegedly did during the Maharashtra assembly polls in 2024.

He claimed that more than one crore new voters were added to the electoral rolls in Maharashtra without explanation, and that repeated demands for the voter list and related videography were ignored by the Election Commission.

Gandhi accused the ECI of acting as a "BJP wing" and not as an impartial constitutional authority.
