The Kerala High Court in the case K.G. Mohandas & Anr. v. Central Bureau of Investigation & Ors observed and has stated that the parents of Dr. Vandana Das, who being the 23-year-old house surgeon who was recently killed by an injured man at a government hospital in Kottarakkara, Kollam, wherein seeking the transfer of probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI

The Single bench headed by Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas in the case observed and has issued the notice to the respondent authorities.
The present case pertains to the brutal murder of Dr. Vandana during the wee hours of the morning on May 10, while she being in the duty. Therefore, the young house surgeon was stabbed multiple times by Sandeep, a school teacher, using the dressing room scissors and the attackers were being brought to the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital by the police for treatment of his injuries.
