INDIA WINS FIRST EQUESTRIAN GOLD IN 41 YEARS AT ASIAN GAMES

In a historic moment at the ongoing 19th Asian Games, the Indian equestrian team comprised of Anush Agarwalla, Hriday Vipul Chheda, Divyakriti Singh, and Sudipti Hajela clinched a gold medal in Team Dressage. This victory marked India’s first-ever gold in this event at the Asian Games and the country’s first gold medal in equestrian sports in 41 years.

The competition lasted nearly 10 hours, featuring talented athletes from across Asia. The Indian quartet, consisting of Agarwalla, Chheda, Divyakriti, and Hajela, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, securing a remarkable combined score of 209.205.
Anush Agarwalla and his horse ETRO led the charge with a maximum score of 71.088, stealing the show. Hriday Chheda, riding Emerald, delivered a strong performance with a score of 69.941, closely followed by Divyakriti Singh on Adrenalin Firdod with a score of 68.176. Sudipti Hajela, riding Chinski, contributed significantly with a score of 66.706. Together, they left no room for competition to come close to their impressive collective score.
