Hyderabad Cyber Crime unit arrests three in digital arrest scam; kingpin at large

The Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad, arrested three persons from the city for their involvement in a high-value “digital arrest” fraud case.
The arrests were made in connection with Cr.No. 2071/2025 under Sections 66C, 66D of the IT Act and multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused—identified as A-2 to A-4—were found to be involved in five cases across India, two of which were registered in Telangana (Cr.No.1910/2025 and Cr.No.2136/2025 of Cyber Crime PS, Hyderabad).
The prime accused, Sandeepalias Alex (A-1), remains absconding.
A2 Pandu Vinith Raj (24), a student from Kothapet, Hyderabad, allegedly acted as an account supplier.
