Experts call for lifestyle shift to tackle India's rising health crisis

Leading medical experts and public health specialists stressed the urgent need for lifestyle-driven healthcare reforms while speaking at a panel discussion on the future of nutrition and wellness during Day 2 of the NXT Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The session, moderated by integrative and lifestyle medicine expert Luke Coutinho, brought together Prof. Shilpa Bupati Raju of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, endocrinologist Dr. Shashank Joshi, neurologist and sleep specialist Dr. Manvir Bhatia, and oncologist Dr. Garvit Chitkara to discuss the growing burden of lifestyle diseases in India.
