Eight dead in Bathinda bus crash

Eight people lost their lives on Friday when a bus plunged off a bridge without railings into a nullah amid heavy rainfall.

The tragic accident occurred on the route from Talwandi Sabo to Bathinda. The vehicle was carrying over 20 passengers.

Local residents, police, and administrative teams swiftly reached the site to carry out rescue operations. The injured passengers were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Officials confirmed the fatalities and stated that investigations are underway to determine if the heavy rain contributed to the driver losing control of the bus. Concerns have been raised about the lack of railings on the bridge, which might have prevented the accident.
