The Delhi unit of Congress has sharply criticized the Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the worsening condition of the Yamuna River in Delhi. Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav, along with senior Congress leaders and ex-MPs, took a boat ride at the Yamuna Ghat near Kalindi Kunj in Okhla to inspect the polluted river. They were alarmed by the sight of frothing ammonia floating on the water's surface. Yadav highlighted that this foam, containing high levels of ammonia and phosphates, poses severe health risks, including respiratory and skin issues. He accused the Kejriwal government of being indifferent to the health of the people.
Yadav further claimed that the Kejriwal government misappropriated over Rs 6,500 crore of taxpayers' money, meant for treating sewage before releasing it into the Yamuna through the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
