CISF trains private guards to strengthen port security

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has launched its first-ever specialized training programme for private security personnel deployed at ports, marking a key step in strengthening India's hybrid port security model.

The two-week Port Facility Security Course, rolled out simultaneously at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), Mumbai and Chennai Port Authority (ChPA), is designed to build the capacity of private security guards who safeguard critical cargo zones, warehouses, and access points at smaller and intermediate ports.
