The BJP is in no hurry to announce the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Party President JP Nadda will consult newly elected MLAs and senior leaders before presenting a report to Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his return from an overseas visit on February 15. Only then will the final decision be made.
The BJP has until February 26 to form the new government, giving the party leadership ample time to weigh its options carefully. The selection of Delhi's new chief minister is a major challenge. While several names are under consideration, the final choice will be a well-calculated one.
