ASI REPORT PROVES GYANVAPI WAS A TEMPLE: HINDU SIDE LAWYER

Citing the survey report of Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi, lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain has said that the structure of the mosque has been erected over the temple. There was a temple here before the existing structure. The ASI report said that Om, Lotus and Trishul are carved on the structure.

On the orders of the court, the Hindu side's lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain received the survey report of ASI on Thursday and then also addressed the media. Answering media questions, he said that inscriptions in Tamil, Telugu and another South Indian language have been found.

All these are apart from the rock inscriptions found in Sanskrit language. The western wall of the complex dates back to the reign of Vikramaditya 5000 years ago. ASI survey has also revealed that there are idols of Shivalinga, Damru, Trishul and gods and goddesses on the walls of the premises.

There are some places in the walls in which Shivalingas are installed. According to lawyer Vishnu Jain, the evidence of the report presented by ASI in front of the court screams that there was a temple there.
