ISSUES: SHARKS AND BULLS CONTINUE TO SLIDE DOWN THE URC STANDINGS
The Stormers and Lions extended their winning streaks while misery compounded for the Sharks and Bulls after this weekend’s United Rugby Championship fixtures.
The Stormers moved two points clear at the top after a 27-21 win over Munster in the round’s biggest fixture.
Both sides were unbeaten beforehand, with Munster favourites at home - where they had never lost to the Stormers - and fielding their Irish internationals while the visitors were without theirs.
The Stormers were poor in the first half, conceding two yellow cards and trailing 21-6, but the match swung when they brought on six forwards at once.
