With R6 million up for grabs, the Betway Summer Cup is the richest race on the African continent and once again, this Grade 1 race over 2000m at Turffontein promises to be one of the outstanding races of the season.

A full field of 20 horses are set to take their places in Saturday's event and the main race is backed up by the Grade 2 Jackpot City Dingaans and Grade 3 Ducat Africa Fillies Mile, both for three-year-olds over 1600m, the Grade 3 New Turf Carriers Merchants and Listed Blu Voucher Carry On Alice Stakes, both over 1160m, as well as two Non-Black Type features on an 11-race card.

Most importantly, there are a number of attractive betting opportunities for racing fans backed up by three carryovers at the meeting.
