Capitals are in need of points
The Citizen
|January 05, 2026
In need of points as the league phase of the competition approaches its midway point, the Pretoria Capitals will be hoping to hit back against former champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape in their SA20 clash in Centurion today (5.30pm start).
The Capitals got their campaign off to a poor start, losing their opening two games (including a 48-run defeat to the Sunrisers in Gqeberha last week).
They picked up points in their last two fixtures, however, thumping title holders MI Cape Town in a bonus-point win last week before sharing the points with Durban's Super Giants in a rained out match in Centurion at the weekend.
Aiming to gain some momentum today, the Capitals are in search of their first home victory of the season.
