'The race and the ambition to improve is really aggressive'

EDDIE Howe has vowed to “make sure” that relentless Newcastle United are “moving as quickly as possible” - even if this ends up being the club’s most successful campaign in memory.
Not only have Newcastle wiped out a seven-decade wait to lift a major domestic trophy the Magpies can all but qualify for the Champions League for a second time in three seasons with just another victory. However, Newcastle are not about to ease off.
Following last summer's PSR constraints, and a frustrating wait for a major arrival, Howe does “not see any reason why we can’t strengthen” and, clearly, there is work to do across the board in the years to come.
“We've got a lot of areas to grow in,” Howe told reporters. “I still feel we're starting. Look at the training ground, for example. The training ground has improved dramatically since I’ve been here. There’s a totally different feel about the place now, but we still have more to deliver to be at the very elite level.
