Sunderland up there with Europe's elite
The Chronicle
|November 19, 2025
SUNDERLAND'S attendances this season are among Europe's best.
It seems incredible to think the Black Cats were languishing in League One not so long ago but now are attracting their highest crowds since the 1950s at the old Roker Park.
The fantastic start to the Premier League season has been reflected in their attendance figures so far.
The Black Cats are fourth with 19 points, five wins and just two defeats on the board after 11 games, already opening up a nine-point gap on the relegation zone and trailing Manchester City in second by just three points.
