Sports night is a huge hit for charity

THE Chronicle's Sunshine Fund charity has raised more than £14,500 at its annual Question of Sport fundraising dinner in Newcastle.
The event is a much-loved gem on the charity's annual calendar, with an enjoyable and always competitive sports-themed quiz inspired by the popular TV show.
More than 250 people attended the 2025 quiz night and dinner, which was sponsored by Direct Business Group and held at The Grand Hotel Gosforth Park. A variety of sports quiz rounds took place, hosted by Sky Sports' Pete Graves.
Guests also enjoyed darts and golf games played in between the quiz rounds, as well as a raffle and silent auction. The Chronicle Sunshine Fund's charity patrons Ant & Dec sent a special message, and stories were shared on the night by many of our Sunshine families about the difference the charity's work has made to them.
