Revamped city high street partially reopen

PROGRESS is being made on the major redevelopment taking place on Newcastle's Northumberland Street.

As work remains ongoing, part of Newcastle's busiest shopping street has now reopened, with new paving and seating areas in time for this year’s unveiling of Fenwick's iconic Christmas Window on Sunday, November 2.
A statement released by Newcastle City Council said: “Exciting changes are happening at the bottom of Northumberland Street as we gear up for the festive season - and of course, the much-anticipated Fenwick Christmas Window reveal on Sunday, 2 November.
