Hard Rock Cafe staff shocked by sudden closure

MEMBERS of staff at Hard Rock Cafe in Newcastle have spoken out to say they are “shocked and saddened” by its sudden closure, as the world famous restaurant chain has confirmed it has shut down.

There was a big fanfare back in May 2021 when, after first announcing plans to open at the old Guildhall on the Quayside two years earlier, the globally-renowned business opened in Newcastle for the first time, with an eclectic menu and a venue packed full of music memorabilia, including outfits from the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Tina Turner.

Over the last four years, Hard Rock Newcastle, as well as having plenty of diners to tuck into burgers and sip on an eye-catching line-up of cocktails, also hosted performances from a host of local musicians, as well as having brunches every weekend and themed events like a sold-out Kevin & Perry brunch.
