Disqualified driver rode a child's e-bike on busy road

A DISQUALIFIED driver flouted his ban by riding a four-year-old’s off-road electric bike along a busy North East road.
Dad-of-two Connor Rock risked being sent to prison when he decided to get on the child’s toy and travel along Ponteland Road, in Newcastle.
A court heard that the 30-year-old was banned from driving for 20 months in November last year after he was convicted of failing to provide a breath specimen.
However, police spotted him riding the off-road bike one afternoon in February and, because it has an electric motor, he should not have been on it in a public place.
Rock, of Magnolia Crescent, in Blakelaw, was arrested and pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance.
