COMPETITION CAN HELP TO CHANGE OUR FORTUNES, SAYS RED BULLS HEAD COACH
-
EUROPEAN Challenge Cup winner Alan Dickens says the competition can add some much-needed ‘momentum’ to Newcastle Red Bulls’ season.
The Red Bulls are currently rooted to the bottom of the Gallagher PREM table with six defeats from six games.
And head coach Dickens - who won the competition twice with Northampton Saints - is hoping today’s EPCR Challenge Cup opener in Lyon can help to turn the tide on the domestic front.
George McGuigan captains the Red Bulls, with Dickens making three changes from the lineup which started last Friday's Gallagher PREM defeat to Leicester Tigers.
Boeta Chamberlain starts at fullback, with Harrison Obatoyinbo in on the left wing and Tom Gordon on the blindside flank.

No escaping your fitter enemy
EVERY new show needs a great opening. Something to forcefully grab the viewer's attention and maintain that vice-like grip for the next hour or so. The producers of Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing must have been rubbing their hands with glee when they saw the rough cut of this first episode: a glimpse of the countryside, a nice burst of birdsong, sounds of a man and a woman laughing and then... two people naked in a shower. Goodness me, and it's only just past the watershed too.
