Charity built on solid foundations

HI, Sunshine News readers.
-
In last week's Sunshine News, we heard from our impact and development officer, Rachel, about why our charity exists and the challenges that our children and families face daily.
Rachel highlighted the reality that, for many families, the Sunshine Fund is their last hope, and without us they would struggle to afford the life-changing equipment that enables their children to communicate, move, play, and more.
This week, I'd like to talk about the role that trusts and foundations play in ensuring we continue to deliver this mission.
As the head of charity here at The Sunshine Fund, I hear about the need for our service every day and, alongside this, understand the power of philanthropy on changing lives. Our team works hard to keep delivering specialist equipment to North East children to ensure they have the tools they need to thrive, but none of this would be possible without the generosity of trusts and foundations, as their donations form the backbone of our ability to make such a difference.
