The Chronicle
|November 20, 2025
THE Duchess of Northumberland has released the first in a series of novels set around her own Alnwick play kingdom.
Amanita is set in Lilidorei and follows the struggles of a young girl who doesn’t fit in the human world.
But after befriending a squirrel, she delves into the realm of magic, mushrooms and mayhem.
The book is published alongside an Illustrated Guide to Lilidorei, which invites readers to uncover the stories and secrets that inspired the creation of the attraction.
