The Chronicle
|August 09, 2025
A GRAN was left terrified when she was strangled in a lift by a crack cocaine addict who was covered in blood.

It was around 3pm on March 28 that the victim went to visit her friend at Church Walk House, Walker, Newcastle.
Jordan Parkinson, prosecuting, told Newcastle Crown Court it was as the woman got in a lift at the flats when she was attacked by badly injured Lee Clough, leaving her terrified. Miss Parkinson said: "He reached through, grabbing the door as they were closing.
"He grabbed her by the neck, making it difficult for her to breathe.
"He lifted her off the floor and against the wall. The incident is captured on CCTV. He can be seen covered in blood, shouting 'give me everything you've got.' She believes he was referring to the drugs she had."
