MAN, 27, LASHED OUT AS SHE TRIED TO HELP HIM
A RECRUITMENT firm manager has been jailed after punching an ambulance worker in the face as she tried to help him.
Connor Dunford had to be sedated and taken to hospital after a drugs binge and an ambulance support technician was explaining to him what was happening when he lashed out, leaving her in pain and with a bloodied nose.
Newcastle Crown Court heard it was on October 12 this year that an ambulance was called to a hotel in Jesmond, Newcastle.
The woman encountered Dunford, 27, in a hotel room being restrained by three of his friends and he was shouting and swearing.
It was believed he had consumed drugs and a decision was made to sedate him. Following this, he appeared calmer and the ambulance workers decided to take him to hospital for further assessment.
When they got to the RVI, in Newcastle, they were trying to move him from a stretcher to a hospital bed.
