Demolition starts on former council offices

LONG-AWAITED demolition work on the empty former Ellesmere Port council offices - which include an underground bunker - has finally started.
Cheshire West and Chester Council confirmed in March that the complex work to safely take the dated building down and clear the site would get underway soon.
Fencing was erected around the site last week with diggers currently located near the entrance to the old offices.
Initially, all non-structural elements will be removed and separated to ensure maximum recycling opportunities.
