Burke sale plan in place at Blues

The Blues chief addressed the supporters in a statement where he thanked them for their support and in particular, touched on central defender Burke who has signed a new deal at Chester having already attracted interest from the likes of Stoke City.

He is sure to progress at some stage of his career and McIntyre and the club are ready for that eventuality.

McIntyre said: "Let's address the Harrison Burke situation.

"Harrison has been immense for Chester FC having progressed through the juniors, the academy and then developed again within the first team.

"There is naturally a massive amount of interest in Harrison and the opportunity may well arise for him to move up the football pyramid."

He added: "He deserves massive credit for the way he has performed but equally the way he has carried himself when naturally there has been speculation about his future.
