|June 26, 2025
OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses after a number of purses were stole during a 24-hour crime spree in Chester city centre. Four offences took place between Monday and Tuesday last week.
-
In the first incident, a woman had been walking along the city walls at 11.30am on Monday when she believed her purse had been stolen from her rucksack.
Another woman called police at about 3.35pm on the same day and reported that her purse had been stolen after walking through the city, including near to Chester Cathedral and along the city walls.
