Former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has lambasted party members who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing their action as "the worst political sin.

Speaking during a gathering with loyalists from Takai Local Government Area in Kano State on Friday, Kwankwaso condemned the defections as a deep betrayal of the Kwankwasiyya movement and its core values. The event was organized to celebrate party faithful who rejected overtures to join the APC.
In his fiery remarks, the former Kano governor accused the defectors of turning their backs on the people who voted them into office.
