As Nigeria marked the 2025 Democracy Day, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, called for a renewed national commitment to democratic values, inclusive civic participation, and a transparent electoral process.
The governor made the call during the 2025 Democracy Day celebration, themed "June 12: Electoral Reforms and Democratic Consolidation-Enhancing Voters' Confidence Through Technology." The event took place at the Hubert Ogunde Hall, June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
Represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Governor Abiodun emphasized that June 12 remains a defining moment in Nigeria's democratic journey, representing both the sacrifices made and the progress achieved towards an inclusive political system.
