Nine Iron rods found on Bathinda Delhi track, tragedy averted

On Monday, Government Railway Police (GRP) officials reported the recovery of nine iron rods on the Bathinda-Delhi railway track, a discovery that raised concerns about safety on the railways.

The rods were spotted early Sunday morning, leading to the immediate halting of a train to prevent potential accidents. Investigating Officer Shavinder Kumar noted that the rods were discovered around 3 a.m. and were swiftly removed by railway officials upon their arrival.
