Nepal honors India's youngest female everest summiteer on Everest Day

On Everest Day, the Nepal government honored Kaamya Karthikeyan, the youngest Indian female to summit Mount Everest from the Nepal side.

Kaamya achieved this remarkable feat during the 2024 spring expedition and was recognized by Nepal's Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda", along with other record-holding climbers. Kaamya, now 16 years and nine months old, broke the previous record held by Shivangi Pathak, who summited Everest at 16 years and 10 months in 2018.
Speaking with ANI after the felicitation ceremony, Kaamya expressed her deep gratitude and excitement for being recognized alongside such esteemed mountaineers.
