India's force for digital transformation, says Chandrasekhar

India’s leadership during its G20 presidency has emphasized the importance of global cooperation, equitable growth, and digital transformation, according to Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

He highlighted India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a transformative force that promotes an open-source, nimble, and consumer-driven approach. Chandrasekhar stated that India’s message of accelerated, inclusive, and resilient growth, along with cooperation for the common good, will have a lasting impact beyond its G20 presidency. He noted that India’s economic stability and commitment to technology, innovation, and global cooperation position it as a defining presence in the G20. India’s focus on DPIs, one Future Alliance, and inclusivity in technology has resonated with countries in the Global South, offering them opportunities for digitization and technology adoption.

As India prepares to host the G20 Leaders’ Summit on September 9-10, the nation’s role in shaping the global agenda has become increasingly significant. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who serves as the Minister of State for Electronics and IT, spoke about India’s G20 presidency in an interview with PTI. He described India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a powerful force whose time has come and emphasized that nothing can stop it.
