Stock indices in India continued to march ahead, touching fresh highs for the fifth straight session on Thursday.

Sensex almost touched 86,000 at one point today.
Sensex closed the day at 85,836.12 points, up 666.25 points or 0.78 per cent, while Nifty closed at 26,186.00 points, up 181.85 points or 0.70 per cent.
Among the sectoral indices, Nifty auto and Nifty metal were the top movers at 2.26 per cent and 2.13 per cent, respectively.
