In the first quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (AprilJune), India’s exports exceeded USD 200 billion, bolstering government optimism about reaching the annual target of USD 800 billion. Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal expressed confidence in achieving this milestone while presenting India’s June trade data.
In June, India’s overall exports, including both merchandise and services, amounted to USD 65.47 billion, marking a 5.4% increase from the previous year’s USD 62.12 billion. Merchandise exports rose from USD 34.32 billion to USD 35.20 billion, while service exports climbed from USD 27.79 billion to USD 30.27 billion. The combined exports for May stood at USD 68.29 billion, showing a 10.2% year-on-year rise.
